I have supported a range of mainstream and SEND schools in their undertaking to improve. Working with the foundations of the curriculum and the schools existing culture these elements should be brought to the fore and expressed in the classroom.
ABOUT
Creativity is inherent in children. Mainstream pre-schoolers on average ask 100 questions a day, they are naturally observant. They aren’t held back because parents tend to foster challenging the status quo, which allows a complete freedom. Creativity isn’t just about asking questions it’s about acting on those questions. I would challenge anyone who doesn’t regard play as a form of creativity. It is a state in which you can achieve ‘flow’ and collaboration, you build an environment in which everyone can contribute and learn, nothing is taken off the table.
